Hiking Globe Decoration & Card

If someone has spent their vacation hiking in the Swiss mountains they will be familiar with the Wanderweg yellow signs which serve as directions for adventures seeking walking or simple hiking paths. For anyone living in Switzerland these signs are a fun detail to share with people who you’d perhaps like to come and visit or would just like to share more of the world you live in. 

This beautiful Christmas decoration is an illustrated line drawing which has been ink painted and then that image printed onto a wooden snowglobe shaped ornament. The image features the Wanderweg signs in front of beautiful green Swiss hill landscapes and snow topped Alpine mountains. For added details, depicted going up the mountain are gondolas to remind people of their ski adventures and there are lots of hand drawn trees featured. At the top of the Christmas decoration is a red ribbon for hanging on a Christmas tree or around the house on handles or knobs. 

The Swiss themed ornament comes in two options: 

‘Without greeting card’ features the decoration described above with the word ‘Switzerland written in the yellow of the signs. It is attached (by the ribbon) to an A6 printed card. The card has the same design of the keepsake printed on it and is surrounded by a black and white line drawing extending the Swiss landscape theme. It might be that you want to add this to your own tree or include it with other gifts for a love on who is far away but loves Switzerland, 

‘With greeting card’ also features this seasonal ornament described above with the words ‘Across the miles’ in the same yellow as the signs on the base of the snowglobe. It comes attached to a 7x5 inch Christmas card. It also features the black and white drawing extension onto the card and print of the snowglobe so the card will look beautiful displayed once the decoration has been removed. It also has the words ‘Christmas wishes & smiles from across the miles’  white in black capitals and has snowflake details above and below the Swiss mountain scene. It comes with an envelop and a protective card. The card is blank inside. 

The keepsake can be made all the more special by personalisation on the reverse of the decoration including names of dates in a red that matched the red hanging ribbon.
