Edelweiss Decoration - Keepsake & Swiss Souvenir

When it comes to sending souvenirs of Switzerland, sending something that features the Edelweiss flower must be high up on the list! Edelweiss is the symbol of purity, love, courage, resilience and beauty. Whether enticing someone to come and visit, reminding them of a holiday they’ve had or just wanting to share a piece of Swiss nature with friends and family this Edelweiss Christmas card and Christmas decoration will add a touch of Switzerland to any Christmas tree. 

This image is a combination of my Edelweiss illustration combined with collages of my ink artwork. It has been printed onto a round wooden ornament with a white organza ribbon hanging loop. The Edelweiss flowers are shown in front of a grass background and with mountains and blue sky in the distance giving the look of the flowers in meadows of the Swiss mountains. 

When the Swiss Christmas ornament is removed from the Christmas card the card has the grassy fields and mountains and the words ‘Sending you peace, love & joy to you this festive season’ in a white cursive font. 

Printed on soft white textured quality card, this 5x7 card comes with an envelope and a card protector for posting. 

Cards can be sent directly to the recipient with a message written inside if posting within Switzerland. For orders to other countries please see my Etsy shop. 

This Christmas ornament can be personalised with a name and date.

The back of the card has the Deer & Sparrow logo and contact details alongside a drawing of the Edelweiss and information about the symbolism of the flower. 

The decoration can also be purchased without a greeting card.

Please note that Birch Plywood is a natural material which means that the colour, grain, and texture of each decoration will be slightly different from those photographed. The wood grain may also be visible adding character to the ornament. 

Every effort has been made to show the true colours of the decorations, however colours may vary due to computer monitor settings.

• Within Switzerland:
  • If you’d like the GREETINGS CARD sent directly to the recipient with a handwritten message, simply add your message for the inside of the card in the notes box at checkout, and I’ll take care of the rest.
  • If you’d like a DECORATION sent directly to the recipient this will be wrapped in tissue paper and have a gift tag added. Simply add your message for the tag in the notes box at checkout.
